113 arrested, P13.6M worth of drugs seized

THE Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) arrested 113 persons in their One Time Big Time operation last Thursday dawn.

Shabu weighing 1,154 grams with a Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P13,623,371 was confiscated by authorities.

One minor was rescued, 94 drug personalities were caught while 19 others were arrested for other crimes, such as illegal gambling, possession of illegal firearms, and violating the law on Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC).

The One Time Big Time operation, or Oplan Pokemon, targets illegal drugs and other crimes in the barangays of Cebu City.

In Danao City, four alleged pushers carrying P2.3 million worth of “shabu,” were caught in a series of drug busts in Barangays Poblacion, Sabang and Maslog yesterday morning.

The City Drug Enforcement Unit and Public Safety operatives led by Insp. Efren Diaz seized the illegal drugs from suspects Gerry Gallon Jr., Velmar Lavador, Robert Angtod and Jose Quilation.

The suspects yielded 52 packs of white crystals believed to be shabu.

Danao City Police Chief Gerard Ace Pelare said the suspects are newly identified personalities, adding that he ordered his intelligence operatives to determine the sources of the suspects.

The operation, dubbed as Oplan Limpyo Danao, started at 2:48 a.m. and ended at 5:57 a.m.

Aside from the shabu, the operatives seized P2,200 in cash believed to be the suspects’ proceeds and a motorcycle. (KAL, JOB)
