A MAN was shot dead by an unknown assailant in Sitio Laray, Barangay Cansaga, Consolacion, Cebu, at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, August 12.
Police identified the fatality as Antonio Pasaje Alcala, who succumbed to gunshot wounds in different parts of his body.
Investigation showed the victim was driving his motorcycle along a dim road in Laray toward Barangay Tayud.
The gunman, who was standing in the dark portion of the area, opened fire at Alcala several times.
Personnel of the Consolacion Emergency Rescue Team rushed Alcala to the Eversley Childs Sanitarium and General Hospital in Mandaue City, where he was declared dead. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
