EIGHT persons, including two minors, were arrested in separate drug busts in Negros Occidental in the past three days.
In Isabela town, a 16-year-old boy was collared by police on August 14, in Barangay 6 Poblacion, with a recovery of two sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as "shabu," and the P300 marked money.
Also arrested were Joemarie Alba, 43, of Talisay City, and Mike Beiley Lozande, 29, of Manapla town after both yielded 13 sachets of shabu and the P300 marked money at Barangay Zone 3, Talisay City last August 12.
Alba is the ninth drug personality under the station’s watchlist.
On Monday, Ketch Carmona, 32, Jimmy Bolonia, 38, and a minor were arrested for sale and possession of illegal drugs in a transaction at Purok Mahiliugyon, Barangay 35, Bacolod City.
Confiscated from them were nine sachets of shabu, and the P200 marked money, and a lighter.
Albert Gerard Palo, 23, of Barangay Estefania, was arrested in Barangay Tangub last August 12 after police seized from him five sachets of shabu worth P15,000, and the P500 marked money.
Ericson Sarmon, 22, was also arrested in the said village for possession of a sachet of shabu.
