THE region’s premier lifestyle destination, Ayala Center Cebu, continues to excel in the retail industry, winning the 2017 Shopping Center of the Year Award.
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Philippine Retailers Association (PRA) acknowledged model retailers during the 20th Outstanding Filipino Retailers & Shopping Centers of the Year Awards last July 26 at the Solaire Resort and Casino.
Ayala Center Cebu bested other retailers in the Large Category and bagged the Shopping Center of the Year Award. This is the first time the mall has received this award from PRA.
With almost 500 tenants, Ayala Center Cebu has continued to grow its offerings for Cebuanos and tourists. Strategically located at the heart of premier business and commercial hub Cebu Business Park, it welcomes an average of over 120,000 customers daily.
The mall’s centerpiece, “The Terraces,” is the mall’s most visited area for tourists and shoppers. It features a roundabout of Cebu and Manila dining concepts, providing trendy, al fresco dining for mall-goers. This has cemented Ayala Center Cebu’s position as the premier lifestyle destination in shopping, dining and entertainment in the region.
Ayala Center Cebu comes full circle with its latest expansion featuring modern exteriors and homey elegant interiors. This world-class regional mall received various awards for design, sustainability and customer service, the latest of which is from the International Council of Shopping Centers. The latest expansion of the mall recently garnered gold in the renovations and expansions design and development category of the 2015 Asia Pacific Shopping Center Awards competition held in Taipei.
Ayala Center Cebu also emphasizes the importance of partnering with its merchants through its Merchant Care Program. Merchant trainings on food safety, security and safety, customer service and sustainability are conducted quarterly.
