Capitol excludes JO’s, jail guards from P10K bonus

THE job-order (JO) employees of the Cebu Provincial Government and the jail guards in the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation (CPDRC) will not be included in the Capitol’s P10,000 anniversary bonus.

This was made clear by Vice Gov. Agnes during the deliberation of the proposed second supplemental budget (SB) for 2017 that was submitted by Gov. Hilario Davide III.

Magpale said the bonus is a performance incentive given to regular employees in line with the Province’s celebration of its 448th founding anniversary.

Davide also said earlier that the bonus will be given to Capitol’s casual employees.

Magpale said the jail guards will not qualify for the bonus because of several issues hounding the CDPRC.

A search inside the jail early this month yielded large quantities of illegal drugs and contraband.

The proposed SB 2 is covered by a resolution authored by PB Member Miguel Antonio Magpale. (EOB)
