One-stop coffee shop

COFFEE shops have grown like mushrooms in the city, but just like that, each has its own uniqueness and suits the customers' varied preferences.

One though stands out as they stretch their limitation to cater to a bigger market.

I thought it's just some hole in the wall as we passed by Torres Street, but entering Beanleaf Coffee and Tea actually gives you sense of comfort with its green and white interior. The staff also contributes to that good aura as they greet you with smiles.

Beanleaf was first established in 2014 in Metro Manila and has since grown into many franchises, and just recently reached this city to offer Dabawenyos a selection of high-quality drinks and food. This franchise, owned by young entrepreneur Ailea Orpiano, also houses a 20-seater space that turns into a mini bar at night where customers can enjoy both their trademark beverages and rice meals alongside some beer, mixed drinks, or wine.

The shop makes their own signature sausages that go well with everything - whether you pair it with any of their espresso blends or fruit and milk teas.

“We also import from the main branch but if stocks are numbered, my mother, who’s a total expert in the kitchen can cook some of the dishes herself,” shares Ailea who always make sure everything’s going well as she’s always around to monitor and help in the workload as well.

And true enough, the coffee shop can brag about their Italian Garlic, Schublig, Chorizo, Frankfurter, Italian Garlic, Chicken Cajun, Hungarian, (among others).

All tastes really good and are equally filling. This will suit well the customers who look for a place to read or study as they need not to go out of the comfortable reading space to look out for good food.

If you are looking for the good old classics, they also cook Beef Kaldereta, Pork Adobo, Pork Tonkatsu, Chicken Curry, Cordon Bleu (personal favorite!), and Sweet and Sour Fish.

The place also offers cakes, cookies, pasta, and pizzas.

Beanleaf is a must-go coffee shop and everyone would approve.

It's in that building along Torres Street near the Davao Wisdom College, the one at the corner of the road that goes out to PDCP-Landco and Pryce Towers.

And oh, for Kadayawan Festival, they are giving away one more large size Fruit or Milk Tea for every purchase of two tower size beverage. The promo runs from August 16 to 20, 2017 so see you there and bring lots of friends with you!
