THE local police have arrested a village watchman, including two others, in a separate anti-illegal drug operations in Zamboanga city, an official said.
Superintendent Diomarie Albarico, Zamboanga City police officer-in-charge, identified the arrested suspects as Henry Aurea, 36, a village watchman, Michael Berangel, 27, and Marie Buscas, 22.
Albarico said that Aurea was arrested in a drug bust around 2:40 a.m., Wednesday, August 16, in the village of Camino Nuevo.
Confiscated from the possession of Aurea were two small-sized and one medium-sized sachets suspected to methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally know as “shabu,” P400 marked money consisting of four P100 bills, and prohibited drug paraphernalia.
Albarico said Berangel and Buscas were arrested around 4:30 p.m., of the same day, also in the village of Camino Nuevo.
Seized from their possessions was a sachet of suspected “shabu” and P200 marked money consisting of two P100 bills.
Albarico said the three arrested suspects were detained pending the filing of appropriate charges against them in court. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
