THREE men, including the brother of Barangay 19 village chief Jocelyn Uychiat in Bacolod City, were arrested in a drug bust on Burgos Street in the said barangay on Thursday evening, August 17.
Inspector Joey Mara, chief of Regional Special Operations Group-Negros Island Region, identified the target subject as Anthony Apura, 33, of Purok Dalawidaw, Barangay 16, also in Bacolod.
He sold methamphetamine hydrochloride or “shabu” to a poseur buyer for P500 in a transaction made around 8:10 p.m. at the house of Sal Valenti Yanson, 50.
Mara confirmed that Yanson is Uychiat’s brother.
Yanson and Jose Manuel Delahoz, 44, of Greenville Subdivision, Barangay Villamonte, were caught holding a “pot session.”
Recovered from the suspects were five sachets of suspected shabu worth P4,500, an improvised tooter, lighter, and the P500 marked money.
Mara said the three suspects were newly-identified drug personalities.
All suspects are detained at Police Station 4 for the filing of drug charges. They will be subjected to a drug test.
