Erich Gonzales talks about past love, finding new romance

ERICH Gonzales shared she had a smooth breakup with her businessman ex-boyfriend.

On Tuesday's episode of "Kris TV," the Kapamilya actress disclosed that after her split with the non-showbiz guy, she also gave up her shares in restaurants The Breakfast Club and Piccolo Cucina Moderna.

"Sabi ko parang I decided na wala na akong anything to do with the restaurants. Sabi niya, 'Ah, okay sige we will just (give back) your investment.' So, ganoon lang. Easy... simple," Gonzales said.

Even though her four-year relationship with the non-showbiz guy ended, Gonzales said they remain civil towards each other.

"Okay naman kami. We talk naman, we are okay. Now, I believe (in good breakup). Kasi akala ko impossible yun, na parang bad breakup palagi," she said.

When Queen of Talk Kris Aquino pressed the actress on what has changed since she started dating Brazilian-Japanese model Daniel Matsunaga, Gonzales said she feels "super free."

"Hindi mo na iisipin na baka magalit or baka may masabing iba. Kasi hindi ba, honestly I don't want to talk about him (ex-boyfriend) na kasi respeto sa kanya," she said.

Gonzales, who did not see the relationship coming, said she is happy that her personality meshes well with Matsunaga.

"We met a year ago dito sa 'Kris TV' and at that time wala lang. Sino ang may alam na it will happen? Parang I believe na yun nga, if two people are meant to be together, God will make a way for you to be together," the actress said.

Gonzales and Matsunaga confirmed their romance during a guest appearance in "Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal." (Sunnex)
