KAPUSO star Heart Evangelista shared that she is keen to get pregnant by next year.
In a recent interview with "My Korean Jagiya" lead actress, she said she will cut back from her television engagements in 2018 to focus on starting a family.
She believes it's the right time for her and husband, Senator Francis "Chiz" Escudero, to have a child of their own.
"It's not on top of my list now because I'm such a career oriented person, but definitely I'm going to make that my priority by January. He (Escudero) doesn't really pressure me to give him a baby. Hindi siya ganun. But I think it's the right time na din because I'm turning 32" Evangelista said.
Right now, the actress is co-parenting Escudero's two children from his first marriage.
According to her, being a step mother to two young kids helped her to become more patient when dealing with things.
Evangelista added that she do most of the kids schooling. "Technically, I have kids already. I have two kids who live with me at home and I'm happy with that. Never pa naman ako nagkaanak (ng akin talaga) so hindi ko alam yung pakiramdam na magka-aanak."
"But I'm much more patient now. I do all the things when it comes to their school, scheduling. It's a big responsibility and there are two of them. I think I'm ready for mine."
Evangelista also said that her plans of focusing on starting a family and not accepting any television show next year is, somehow, a prelude of what might happen in the next few years.
The actress revealed that she's only giving herself five more years in the entertainment business.
"I deserve to really live my life. When I turned five, 10 years in the industry, everything after that is just a bonus. I never thought I'll celebrate my 19th year now. I'm just grateful."
Financially, the actress said she’s ready for the rainy days or when no more projects will come her way.
She also has investments, rentals, the money she gets from her paintings, other businesses and a new venture that's keeping her busy nowadays.
"I think about everything like how much I make, I budget it, how long will it last me, plus the things I want to shop. I planned my life so I'm giving myself a good five years and then I think I'm good."
"More or less I know how much I will earn in a year and I also have an amount of how much I spend with my household and everything. So, certain (money) covers certain areas. My paintings covers certain area, my tapings are for my savings."
Evangelista also said that she's very meticulous when it comes to her finances as her money is separate from that of her husband. She said having a pre-nuptial agreement with Escudero works well between them.
"Nowadays, if you want a good life, you help each other and don't be selfish about what you make. Kung sino man ang nauunang bumunot, okay lang. It's a marriage at hindi na pag babae ka eh sitting pretty ka. That's why I'm working and I have a supportive husband and we get each other in that aspect," she ended. (SunStar Philippines)
