Mechanic shot dead in Minglanilla, Cebu

A MECHANIC was shot dead Monday night while he was repairing a motorcycle in Barangay Linao-Lipata in Minglanilla town, Cebu.

Jerome Cañedo, 38, was busy repairing the motorcycle of a client when two men onboard a motorcycle suddenly parked outside the shop where he was working.

One of the two men walked behind Cañedo and shot him once with a .45 caliber pistol.

As Cañedo was lying on the floor, the second suspect drew out a revolver and shot the former in the face.

The two men then casually returned to their motorcycle and fled.

The incident was caught on the closed-circuit television camera installed by Cañedo’s boss inside the shop.
