Pagpangita’g solusyon sa peste sa saging padayon

PADAYON ang Southern Mindanao Agriculture Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development Consortium (Smaarrdec) sa ilang research and development projects sa Panama disease-resistant varieties sa mga saging.

Ang Smaarrdec mao ang consortium sa 25 ka nagkadaiyang ahensiya sa kagamhanan, local government units, ug state universities and colleges sa pagpatuman sa inisyatibong research and development.

Nalakip sa maong consortium mao ang University of Southeastern Philippines ug ang Department of Science and Technology-Davao Region.

"We continue to test if these are indeed the varieties we need. Research is a very long process, that's why it is also very expensive. We should not stop in identifying these varieties," tin-aw ni Pilipino Banana Growers and Exporters Association president Stephen Antig. (Jenie P. Arado)
