Panaad sales reach P26 million

THE nine-day celebration of the 25th Panaad sa Negros Festival has generated a total sales of P25.922 million, which significantly increased by 71 percent compared to last year’s festivities, which is P18.434 million.

The recorded sales of the local government unit (LGU) pavilions was pegged at P12.581 million followed by the sales from concessionaires or kiosks sales with P5.145 million.

The eco-garden show also noted a substantial increase in sales with its P2.280 million; livestock and dairy fair with P3.664 million while the newly-established food park at Panaad generated P1.547 million total sales.

The livestock auction, held for the first time in Panaad, had a total sale of P1.532 million that contributed to the sales increase of the livestock and dairy fair, from last year’s P1.3 million to P3.6 million this year.

Meanwhile, the Organic Market, with its new location at the Panaad Park, also earned P704,075, it is lower than last year’s sales which is P1.5 million.

Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. said he is happy for the success of this year’s celebration of the Panaad sa Negros Festival.

He said reaching over P25 million in sales is significant to Panaad’s 25th year of celebration.

Marañon also lauded festival executive director Ma. Lina Sanogal and all the festival committee heads for their joint effort that resulted in the success of the silver anniversary celebration of Panaad.

The Panaad Festival Executive Committee had its assessment meeting Monday, April 23, a day after nine-day festivities concluded. (PR)
