‘Patay’ wins in Pista

I STAND corrected: Star Cinema’s new treat is not “I Love You To The Moon and Back” but “Love You to the Stars and Back” with Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia as lead stars.

Joshua is open with his intention to woo Julia with the latter not showing any objection. So, will the duo end up as a real-life pair? Let’s wait and see.

“Love You to the Stars and Back” will open in cinemas nationwide on Wednesday. Julia and Joshua will meet the media in the cities of Bacolod and Iloilo.

Promo diva Josie Pereyra however assured the Cebu media that in the succeeding Star Cinema movie, the presscon will again be held in Cebu in the tail-end of September.

This will have Piolo Pascual and Toni Gonzaga as leads. Keep posted.

Visayan movie supporters felt elated at the outcome of the participation of the movie “Patay Na Si Hesus” in the recently concluded Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino.

The movie won the Jury’s Choice award along with “100 Tula Para Kay Stella” (Audience Choice) and “Birdshot” (Critics’ Choice). “Patay Na Si Hesus” likewise ranked second in the box office next to “100 Tula Para Kay Stella.”

The movie enjoyed the patronage of moviegoers not only in Cebu but also in Manila and other places in the country. Its exhibition is also extended along with “100 Tula” and “Bar Boys.”
