THE City Sports and Development Council is still scouting for a replacement for Henry Fuentes, who lost his seat in the council after Saint Louis University fired him as athletic director.
City Sports Coordinator Gaudencio Gonzales said the vacancy left by Fuentes will be discussed during the council’s monthly assembly later this month.
“So far we still do not have any names, perhaps candidates are already set in mind but the decision will still be a collective agreement between the other members especially the chairperson, Mayor Mauricio Domogan,” Gonzales told Sun.Star Baguio.
“This will be not be as easy as picking just another replacement. At least the qualifications must be present before the working group could agree on naming an individual who will fit to the criteria,” he said.
Gonzales said the new member must be a good sports leader with a vast knowledge in various sport disciplines.
Represented in the council are sports associations, athletes, sports officials, schools and sports medicine practitioners. Mark Victor Pasagoy
