'Pari' nabbed in Liloan drug bust

A 24-YEAR-OLD alleged drug pusher, whose alias is Pari (The Priest), and his three underlings were caught in a drug bust in Sitio Ylaya, Barangay Cotcot, Liloan, Cebu, at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, August 24.

Superintendent Melbert Glade Esguerra, the town police chief, said Pari's real name is John Carl Noval, 24.

Noval's alleged cohorts are Lester Tautho Amion, 21; Cyross Luna Benabaye, 25; and Jayson Mahinay Baliguat, 29.

Esguerra said Noval had been listed as a newly identified street-level pusher.

Seized from the suspects were five packs of white crystals believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as "shabu."

Drug paraphernalia and the marked bill of P500 used in the drug bust were also recovered.

Suspects will face complaints for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Selling shabu is a non-bailable offense. (KAL)
