Julia Barretto, Joshua Garcia’s chemistry is ‘real’

IT SEEMS Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia's reel chemistry blossomed into real romance.

During Monday's guest appearance in "Tonight with Boy Abunda," the young actress admitted that her on-screen team up with the former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate works as they have a good understanding and relationship behind the cameras.

She said it's hard to fake the chemistry she has with Garcia.

"Everything is real. If the feelings are honest and genuine, it will come out naturally and 'yun ang nagcre-create ng chemistry. It's hard to fake, it's hard to pretend and 'yun ang hindi ko kayang gawin," Barretto said.

The Kapamilya actress also admitted that Garcia has the "exclusive rights" to date her and she's no longer entertaining other suitors.

"Hindi ako yung type na marami (yung manliligaw), hindi ko kaya 'yun. And if you feel something for the person already, you give the person the exclusive rights," she said.

Barretto added that Garcia need not do anything to prove his intention with her as she called the latter as someone with a "kind heart".

"If I'm being honest, wala naman nang kailangang gawin. It's just a matter of time. It will just happen, but he doesn't really have to prove anything anymore," she said.

To recall, Barretto and Garcia first worked opposite each other in 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival entry "Vince and Kath and James".

The on and off screen chemistry has led to a new love team and eventually to a new movie, "Love You to the Stars and Back" which will premiere starting Wednesday, August 30. (SunStar Philippines)
