PIA to hold 5th Asean Campus Forum in Bataan

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Philippine Information Agency (PIA)-Central Luzon will hold this week its fifth Asean Campus Forum in Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU).

“As part of hyping the Philippine Chairmanship of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) this 2017, PIA in Central Luzon will be holding campus forums in different provinces to educate and pitch support from the youth in this endeavor,” PIA Regional Director William Beltran said.

The forum shall feature discussions on the goals of the Philippine Chairmanship and the Political-Security, Economic, and Socio-Cultural Community Pillars of the regional bloc.

Representatives from National Economic and Development Authority shall likewise explain the salient points of Ambisyon Natin 2040.

“A Banga Painting Contest was earlier held as an ancillary activity. The winners will be announced during the Campus Forum proper,” Beltran added.

Prior to BPSU, PIA conducted Asean Campus Forums in Tarlac State University, Central Luzon State University, Aurora State College of Technology, and Tarlac Agricultural University.

Other educational institutions it will visit this year include Ramon Magsaysay Technological University, Pampanga State Agricultural University, and Bulacan State University. (PR)
