4 persons seized in Cebu for possession of illegal drugs, firearms

OPERATIVES of Criminal Investigation and Detection (CIDG)-Central Visayas arrested four persons caught for keeping unlicensed firearms and illegal drugs in Barangay Pasil, Cebu City, past 5 a.m. Wednesday, August 30.

Seized from the suspects were five firearms and several packs of white crystals believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as "shabu."

The simultaneous raids authorized by search warrants issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 61 Judge Antonio Marigomen.

Arrested were Ray-an Cabasan, Giovannie Aban, Joselyn Gabotero, and Kerwin Abatol.

Joselito Abapo and Ike Virtudazo were not caught.

Senior Inspector Edwin Lacostales, CIDG-Central Visayas information officer, said the suspects are engaged in illegal drug trade.

Suspects will face illegal possession of firearms and shabu. (KAL)
