A 59-YEAR-OLD American national drowned in the swimming pool of a beach resort in Barangay Pasol, Alcoy, Cebu, at 6:10 p.m. Tuesday, August 29.
Police identified the fatality as Bradly Jay Casady, a native of Texas and resident of Barangay Pugalo, Alcoy.
Before the incident, Casady and his stepson Rustan John Alunan went swimming in the pool around 6 p.m.
Casady later swam to the deeper portion of the pool.
Alunan, who noticed his stepfather lying below the water, shouted for help. A resort employee retrieved Casady and applied first aid on the foreigner, before bringing him to Alcantara Memorial Hospital, where he was declared dead. (KAL)
