SOLENN Heussaff and Betong Sumaya are set to host a videoke challenge, which is said to be the biggest so far on Philippine television.
Starting September 3, weekends will surely be extra exciting, especially for those who love videoke. With the airing of "All-Star Videoke" on GMA Network, right after "24 Oras Weekend, videoke-loving Filipinos will be treated to a night of singing but with a twist. Considering that thet new program is a game show, it is expected that some fun, innovative concepts will be incorporated into it.
In an interview with the Davao entertainment press last August 18 at New Asia Restaurant, the 32-year-old Kapuso actress, model, recording artist, and entrepreneur revealed that both the live audience and televiewers will have the opportunity to witness how the network maximize technology in producing "All-Star Videoke."
"2017 na ngayon so mas maganda na talaga ang technology," she said. "Ito ang show na may pinakamaraming camera, 12 or more."
Solenn further shared that the show, which will test the contestants' skills in singing and guessing the right lyrics, is taped live to get the real reaction of contestants, particularly when they don't get the right lyrics and have to experience a certain consequence.
In the meantime, Betong said that while Solenn is in her usual "sexy" self, a different Betong is being showcased in "All-Star Videoke."
"'Sa All-Star Videoke' ay magdadamit-babae ako. Ako kasi ang Reyna ng Videoke rito," the actor, who was part of the recently concluded soap "I Heart Davao" said.
Another reason to get excited about this musical game show is the "concert" the audience get to experience.
"Sa show na 'to ay kumakanta rin kami. May production number kami," Solenn said. "Sobrang laki ng set, ang ganda ng light set-up. Parang may concert kami parati."
When asked if there is a chance for non-artists to be part of the show as contestants, the hosts said that is a possibility. The current "All-Star Videoke" participants are actors and actresses who will fight for either the cash prize or a brand new car.
