A 25-YEAR-OLD housewife was found dead in an uninhabited area a day after three gunmen abducted her in the village of Malipot, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte, the police reported on Sunday, September 3.
The police said the remains of the victim, Feroza Hugasan Mindoon, 25, was found around 3:45 p.m., Saturday, September 2.
Mindoon was abducted by three gunmen who barged into her residence in Malipot around 11:30 p.m., Friday, September 1.
The police said that the victim sustained multiple hack wounds that caused her death.
The police said that the post mortem examination showed the victim was raped before she was killed.
The police further said one of the suspects was identified as Al-Naser Niyan, 32, a former Overseas Filipino Worker.
A manhunt has been launched in coordination with the military to arrest the suspect, the police said. (SunStar Philippines)
