Group holds seminar about down syndrome

The Down Syndrome Association of the Phils. Inc. (DSAPI) Cebu Chapter invited parents of children with special needs, students, special education teachers, caregivers and other professionals for a talk on managing the behavior of special children.

The activity was held in partnership with the Juanito I. King Foundation and Kite Strings Development Center.

Carolina Roa and Susan Copingco, SPED consultants and administrators of Kite Strings Development Center, discussed topics on sensory processing disorder, how to handle challenging behaviors, and the importance of home intervention.

The event was held last Sept. 2 at the St. Catherine’s Hall of the Asilo dela Milagrosa.
