Female high-value target, 56 others nabbed in Mandaue City

A WOMAN, considered as a high value target and member of a drug group, while 56 others were arrested in a police operation in Mandaue City.

The arrested was identified as Nenita Osmeña, 44, resident of Barangay Alang-alang, Mandaue City.

Osmeña was among of the 57 personalities that were caught in the One Time Big Time operation of the Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO) from September 1 to 4.

Osmeña was identified as member of the Sadaya drug group.

Chief Inspector Mercy Villaro, spokesperson of MCPO, said a drug bust was conducted by the members of Mandaue Police Station 5 against Osmeña at P. Burgos Street in Alang-alang around 1:30 a.m., Saturday, September 2.

Authorities seized six sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride or "shabu" from Osmeña.

Aside from Osmeña, Jay Brian Basa, 38, who is a newly identified drug personality, was also caught in the same operation in Alang-alang.

Of the 57, 44 were drug suspects.

Meanwhile, Junior Abbas, 45, and Peter Maulod, 27, who are both natives from Marawi City and presently residing in Barangay Babag, Lapu-Lapu City, were also caught after two sachets of shabu were found from them.

A total of 58 sachets of shabu, three motorcycles and two bicycles were confiscated from the arrested drug suspects.

For the violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, Giovannie Abalos, 34, a native from Baring in Carmen, was arrested after a .22 revolver with three live ammunitions were found from him while he was in Mandaue City.
