Man yields illegal drugs, firearms in police ops

A SUSPECTED pusher was caught in a drug bust at 4:17 p.m. Monday, September 4, in Sitio Cambiohan, Barangay Poblacion, Danao City, Cebu.

Police identified the arrested suspect as Jerry Alerta Magan. Magan's alleged cohort Rholan Gonzales Giangan escaped arrest.

The suspect yielded 0.45 grams of white crystals believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as "shabu."

The contraband has a Dangerous Drugs Board value of P5,310.

Aside from the illegal drugs, operatives confiscated a receiver of M16 rifle; a KG9 with magazine; three unfinished .45 caliber; a slide of .45 pistol; an AR15 assault rifle with magazine; eight live shotgun ammos; three barrels of .45 pistol; an .8mm rifle; a .22 magnum 8 shots; a Springfield rifle; a Reizing .45 rifle; and a barrel of M16 rifle.

The suspect, who is a newly identified personality, will be charged for illegal possession of firearms and violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (KAL)
