Seda, an Ayala hotel to open in Cebu

SEDA pertains to silk, a soft and lustrous fabric that perfectly describes the kind of hospitality and seamless accommodation experience this hotel provides.

Ayala Land Hotels and Resorts Corp. (AHRC) wholly owned and managed Seda hotels are adding more than 2,020 rooms in nine destinations, including Cebu from 2017 to 2019.

According to group director of sales and marketing Melissa Carlos, the group’s aggressive plans are due to high demand and positive market response. “Guests appreciate the vibrant locations of each hotel, and easy access to dining, shopping and entertainment.” Indeed, where you find an Ayala Center Mall, there is also a Seda Hotel beside it!

Recently, Melissa and her sales team breezed into town to introduce themselves to the local media and travel agents. Over a delectable dinner at Anzani Restaurant, we met Melissa, Carol Valdez of Seda-Centrio in Cagayan de Oro, Faith Dimaano of Seda-Abreeza in Davao and Genny Puno- communications group manager of Seda Hotels.

From Genny, we learn that aside from the Seda flagship hotel in BGC (Bonifacio Global City), there are branches in Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Iloilo, Nuvali-(Laguna), and Vertis North (Quezon City). In the drawing board are Cebu IT Park, Seda Capitol Central (Bacolod) and its first resort, Seda Lio in El Nido Palawan.

But if there’s one thing Seda is proud of, it’s that the first hotel brand to be named Certified Gold Service property in Asia by the American Hotels and Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI), affirming the brand’s highest international standard of service.

Indeed, an amazing accomplishment for a hotel that started operations only in 2012.
