A 21-YEAR-OLD laborer was arrested for allegedly stealing more than P100,000 in cash and jewelry from the house of a businesswoman in Cordova town, Cebu, past 2 a.m. Friday, September 8.
Senior Inspector Clemente Ceralde, the town police chief, identified the suspect as Jundy Ocaba Nacua.
Nacua's allege victim is Mirachel Lansaderas Pinote, a neighbor of the suspect.
Pinote caught Nacua inside her house in Barangay Gilutongan. The businesswoman then went outside and shouted for help. Village watchmen, who happened to pass by the house, arrested the suspect.
The stolen items were recovered from the possession of the suspect. These are cash amounting to P50,000; gold necklace worth 70,000; earrings, P10,000; bracelet, P12,000; and cellphone, P4,900.
Nacua told the police that financial problems led him to commit the crime. (KAL)
