LTFRB-Central Visayas director on new allegations: Don’t judge me

LAND Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB)-Central Visayas Director Ahmed Cuizon denied allegations made by Sen. Antonio Trillianes IV that he and lawyer Mans Carpio were extorting from Uber Philippines.

Trillanes also accused Cebuano Luisito “Chito” Clavano, Road Board executive director, of extorting from some congressmen.

On his Facebook page, Cuizon said that despite being an appointee of the Aquino administration, he is one of a few LTFRB regional directors who have not been replaced or transferred to another region.

He said that he was even given additional assignment as acting director of LTFRB Eastern Visayas in a concurrent capacity.

“These would not have happened if I were involved in illegal activities,” Cuizon said.

He also denied involvement in any corrupt practices at the LTFRB and the Road Board.

But he hopes that something positive will come out of the ongoing Senate hearings.

He also appealed to the public not to judge him based on baseless accusations.

“I also hope that my neighbors and friends will not look at me differently from now on. I am, after all, the same person that they meet in the street or talk to, text and chat online with daily,” he added.
