THE Eastern Mindanao Command (Eastmincom) has been rated as "excellent" by The Inspector General (TIG) of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) during the Annual General Inspection (AGI), conducted from August 31 to September 8, that sought to evaluate the level of preparedness of all units.
In a statement, Eastmincom public information officer Major Ezra Balagtey said that the inspection body of the AFP led by TIG Lieutenant General Rafael C. Valencia visited the headquarters and assessed its operations which ended last Friday.
Eastmincom underwent the annual inspection focusing on three areas: Readiness, Systems Management, and Mission Accomplishment and the Command wherein they received "Excellent" rating for Systems Management and sub areas of Leadership, Morale, and Discipline under the leadership of Lieutenant General Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero.
"The Annual General Inspection was meant to provide an avenue for the personnel to raise their concern, views and issues that require action for the Command and the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Inspection Team to check," Balagtey said.
The annual inspection was also geared to improve the capability of all AFP units in the conduct of their mandate toward the organization's vision of becoming world-class armed forces.
"Further, the AGI aims to evaluate the relevance and applicability of policies, systems, and procedures prescribed and being implemented by the higher echelon of the organization relative to the unit’s performance, mission accomplishment and organizational transformation," he added.
