THREE children were charred to death in a fire that razed a two-storey house in an east coast village in Zamboanga City.

Inspector Dahlan Samuddin, from the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Zamboanga Peninsula, identified the victims as Abdul Aziz Tunga, 12; Abdulatip Tunga, 10; and, Alih Tunga, eight.

Samuddin said the fire broke out late Wednesday in the village of Tictapul.

He said investigation showed the fire started at the second floor of the house owned by Haber Kaligiran and occupied by couple, Nulsi and Myrna Tunga -- parents of the victims.
