Davao City installs generators for CCTVs

THE closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras installed in markets, terminals and establishments monitored by the City Economic Enterprises (CEE) all have generators to ensure that despite brownouts, it will remain operational.

Davao City CEE head Maribeth Lumactod, in an interview with Sun.Star Davao, said generators form part of the budget allotted for CCTV installation.

"It is by lot, meaning it is inclusive, in the installation of the CCTVs," she added

Last January, Lumactod told SunStar that the city allotted P13 million for the installation of CCTV cameras in eight public markets, Davao City Overland Transport Terminal (DCOTT), Davao City Recreation Center, Magsaysay Park, Santa Ana Wharf, and Pasalubong Center

In an interview last week, Lumactod said installation of CCTVs in the Davao City Overland Transport Terminal (DCOTT), Davao CIty Recreation Center (DCRC), Pasalubong Center located within the compound of Magsaysay Park, Santa Ana wharf are already finished.

She said initial installation has also been done in Agdao Public Market, and generators have already been installed in the area.
