JAPS Sabio lifted Gjaps Pirates' rousing 109-92 victory over MCCC Transport to earn a finals berth in the resumption of the Elenita Heights Dribblers (EHD)-organized Scottie Thompson Cup Invitational Basketball Tournament held at the Elenita Heights court in Barangay Catalunan Grande over the weekend.
Sabio erupted with 24 points including six triples to lead scoring for Gjaps Pirates in their semifinal match.
Sabio's shooting from beyond the arc fueled Gjaps Pirates to a 51-44 lead before stretching the lead, 81-64, in the third canto en-route to securing the win.
Edsel Enal and Francis Garcia chipped in 24 and 20 points, respectively.
The other semifinal game pits Tan Crusaders against Minnie Mickey Mouse Taxi on Friday, September 8.
Sabio said they have to keep their teamwork and hopes for his teammates to step up in both offense and defense to win the title.
