A 42-YEAR-OLD drug surrender was shot dead while he was driving his motorcycle in Sitio Tayong, Barangay Guibuangan, Barili last Tuesday morning.
Police identified the fatality as Leonil Bayate, who succumbed to a gunshot wound in the back. Bayate, after he reformed his life, was hired as a house help by PO3 Fred Julio Carreon.
Bayate had no known enemies in the neighborhood.
Investigators are looking into the possibility that his death was drug-related.
The assailant possibly mistook the victim as a police informant. (KAL)
