Padilla’s ‘PGT’ line

I’M very curious as to how the young stars of “Loving In Tandem” act and interact with each other. “Pinoy Big Brother” winner Maymay Entrata and co-housemates Edward Barber, Kisses Delavin and Marco Gallo are newbies.

Of the four, I only met Marco when he was brought to Cebu by Ms. Rosemarie Gaisano as celebrity guest of one of Gaisano stores’ raffle draw. I can compare Marco to James Reid when it comes to their demeanor in interviews.

Both have ready smiles even if they seem uneasy with the questions. Marco has expressive eyes that he can put to good use in dramatic scenes.

I feel uncomfortable when I see the teaser for “Pilipinas Got Talent” (“PGT”) wherein Robin Padilla stands up and declares, “Binuhay nyong muli ang pagka-Pilipino ko!”

It’s because the line does not sound anything original at all. Former “PGT” judge Ai-Ai delas Alas used to exclaim following extraordinary performance: “Binuhay ninyong muli ang katawang lupa ko!”

I’m not sure if Ai-Ai’s line is originally hers but it sounds more creative, a little sexy and, with Ai-Ai’s comic gift, funny. Robin should find a more emphatic line that does not sound copycat-ish.

I admire how ABS-CBN supports “Tawag ng Tanghalan” champ Noven Belleza. Noven appeared recently in a program to promote his album.

It’s a move to back up a talent for whom the network spent a considerable sum to raise him to national (or even international) awareness.

I could just wish I have the talent to cook a delectable dish just like what John Arcilla did in “Magandang Buhay.” There he displayed he can prepare a mouthwatering salmon dish.

Cooking is a skill, I believe, and so there’s so much time to learn to acquire it.
