RELEASED. After spending more than three years behind bars for plunder and graft, former Senator Jose "Jinggoy" Estrada has been granted release on bail.

BANNING PRIVATE CARS. With the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project already in place, Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña said that city officials are looking into his plan to ban private cars in the downtown area.

RESCUED. Father Teresito “Chito” Suganob and another hostage of the Maute terror group were rescued by government forces in Marawi City on Saturday, September 16.
