6 police officers receive efficiency medal

THE Police Regional Office (PRO)-Zamboanga Peninsula has awarded efficiency medal (Medalya ng Kasanayan) to six police officers in recognition of their exemplary performance and devotion to duty rendered as Summary Hearing Officers.

The awarding of medals was held after the flag ceremony at Camp Romeo Abendan that houses the PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula headquarters in Zamboanga City.

The awardees are Superintendent Benjamin De Peralta, Chief Inspector Hazel Fernandez, Chief Inspector Leo Castillo, Senior Inspector Alvin Gutiererez, Inspector Junar Yap, and Inspector Albert Acorin.

They were awarded of the efficiency medal for their exemplary performance on the speedy resolution of the administrative cases handled by them within the prescribed period of 60 days.

Senior Superintendent Edwin De Ocampo, Deputy Regional Director for Administration, said the awardees exemplified their sterling leadership qualities and epitome of a true and dedicated public servant have earned honor and prestige, worthy of praise and emulation not only by their peers in particular but for the entire Philippine National Police in general.

Meanwhile, five Police Commissioned Officers and five Police Non-Commissioned Officers including one Non-Uniformed Personnel who were celebrating their birthday this month were accorded with the traditional blowing of candle and the giving of individual cake and birthday greeting cards.

The activity is part of the best practices of the PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula headquarters.

The twin activities were followed by “Kapihan sa PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula,” wherein the awardees, officers, staffs and other guests, gathered together for a coffee break. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
