Cops to be fielded for Martial Law Anniversary

THE Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) will secure the city as cause-oriented groups are expected to stage protest rallies during the commemoration of the martial law declaration on Sept. 21.

CCPO Director Joel Doria, in an intervew, said they have enough police officers to do crowd control.

“But they’re not here to disperse. They will secure the area and help man the traffic,” he said.

“The rallyists here are okay. What we want to prevent really is for someone to infiltrate their ranks who are not as peaceful as them,” Doria added. (JOB)
