Mooncake for happiness

MID-AUTUMN Festival takes place on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month. The second grandest festival in China is also called Moon Festival because of the full moon in association with the celebration. Another name it’s known for is Mooncake Festival because of the tradition of indulging in mooncakes during the occasion.

In line with the upcoming festival, Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino’s Chinese restaurant, Tin Gow, joins in on the celebration as it unveils this season’s mooncakes.

Media guests visited the restaurant for a preview of its flavorful selections last Sept. 12. Celebrate abundance and happiness with choices like lotus with salted egg, chocolate with cherry, mooncake Cebu mango, green tea with salted egg, red bean, mooncake ube with Tanduay and more.

Mooncakes are sold individually or by box. Plus one can get one more mooncake for free upon purchasing five pieces.

Not only is this available at Tin Gow but also at the hotel’s patisserie, Madeleine, both of which are located at the Gourmet Walk, lobby level of the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.
