Mother, son nabbed in San Fernando drug bust

A 55-YEAR-OLD woman and her son were caught in a drug bust in Barangay Sangat, San Fernando, Cebu, around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 19.

Senior Inspector Adrian Nalua, the town police chief, identified the suspects as Estrella Umpad Langbid and Jovanie Umpad Langbid, 25.

The suspects yielded five packs containing white crystals believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as "shabu."

Nalua said Estrella had been listed as a street-level drug pusher, while his son was not included in the watchlist of drug personalities operting in the town.

Suspects will be facing complaints for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Board of 2002. (KAL)
