Website for travel blogs to be launched

A LOCAL private organization will be launching a website next month wherein travelling bloggers will be providing collaborative inputs as a way to help boost the tourism sector in our country.

Speaking during Habi at Kape media conference in Abreeza Mall on Wednesday, September 20, Prim Comms and Events Company Spokesperson Mitch Cortez said the purpose of the website is to promote tourism in the country through the emerging numbers of bloggers in the Philippines, including those travelers from other countries who are into writing.

Cortez said the inputs in the website will be on the experiences of Filipino and foreign bloggers on various tourist destinations in the country, the diverse culture of different tribes and settlers, and self-help articles to maximize one's travel in the country.

"When we say our website is open for all bloggers, all who are interested may join in our website by just simply submitting an online membership form and by that those bloggers can immediately posts their articles," she said.

Once a person becomes a member, the person will be given guidelines on being an official contributor of the website such as the number of submitted articles per week.

Although the promotion of the website is intended for the whole country, Cortez said they are expecting many inputs from Mindanao bloggers as many are interested to uplift the image of Mindanao and invite both local and foreign visitors.

"We want to balance the bad things that are happening now in Mindanao by showing the world the numerous good things about our place through our website," she said.

Cortez said the company is hoping for government and non-government agencies to join in their campaign and strengthen the reach of their website in the coming months.

Prim Comms and Events Company will launch the website on October 6, where local bloggers and interested individuals are expected to come. The domain name for the website will also be revealed on that day.
