DAVAO City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio has directed the City Legal Office (CLO) to prepare the appointment letters of the members of the Davao City Peace Committee (DC-Peace).
"I told CLO to prepare the appointment papers so they can start working," she said in a media interview last Friday, September 22.
She also said she referred the eight New People's Army surenderers to the DC-Peace.
Duterte-Carpio said the surrenderers are from Barangay Sibulan.
The DC-Peace is primarily formed to push the local peace talks in the city.
Soon to be appointees to complete the committee are Former Judge Ridgway Tanjili, Davao City Social Services Office Head Maria Luisa Bermudo, City Legal Office lawyer, lawyer Elisa Lapiña, and Archbishop Romulo Valles.
