Angeles City wins property and real estate award

ANGELES CITY -- This city added another feather to its cap as it was adjudged a winner during the Property and Real Estate Awards Night of the FIABCI-Philippines, held recently at the Marriot Hotel, Pasay City.

The award is given under the Public Infrastructure/LGU Amenities Category, which refers to projects financed and developed by the local government units through public funds like government buildings, hospitals, road, bridges, airports, stadium and other infrastructure projects that aim to provide amenities to the people.

Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan received the trophy and plaque of appreciation in behalf of the City Government.

“Our administration has always been ahead and proactive in providing basic social services with the aim of raising the quality of life of the people through facilities and public utilities that provide quality services and amenities,” Pamintuan said.

“We are not even aware that there are award-giving bodies that look into these projects and it is really a great surprise to all of us that our initiatives and hard works are being recognized,” the mayor added.

FIABCI (Federation Internationale des Administrateurs de Biens et Conseils Immobiliers) is the French acronym for the International Real Estate Federation. It is a Paris-based worldwide federation of 100 national real estate associations and an international business club of real estate professionals in 60 countries spread over four principal regions-the Americas, Asia-Pacific, Africa and Europe, and the Near East.

Founded in Paris, France in 1948, FIABCI has chapters in 48 countries enjoying an international umbrella network of around 1.5 million real estate professionals across the various real estate disciplines such as construction/ development, property management, valuation/appraisal, property development and consulting, lawyers, insurers, architects and urban planners, academe and government representatives across the world.

Architect Nestor Mangio is the President of FIABCI Philippines.

Other awards presented during the gala night are the Property Man of the Year, Prix d’ Excellence and the Developer/Property Awards that recognize outstanding individuals and best real estate projects in the country.

Winners of the awards will be endorsed to the 2018 FIABCI Prix d’ Excellence Awards for the best real estate projects to be held in Dubai during the FIABCI World Congress.

Joining Pamintuan during the awarding ceremonies were Vice Mayor Bryan Matthew Nepomuceno, City Treasurer Juliet Quinsaat, City Information Officer Archie Reyes, CCA President Dr. Richard Daenos, First Lady Herminia Pamintuan and Joy Cruz of the Angeles City Tourism Office. (PR)
