CPDRC employee positive of illegal drug use

A PROVINCIAL jail employee tested turned positive during the mandatory drug testing of the Cebu Provincial Anti-Drugs Abuse Office (CPADAO) last Saturday.

“We were able to test 90 personnel of CPDRC. I think everyone was there and only one turned out positive,” CPADAO Chief Ivy Durano-Meca said.

The person is a job-order employee.

The results will still be confirmed. Cebu Gov. Hilario Davide III said it’s a policy that a job-order employee will be asked to resign if caught positive of illegal drug use.

Casual or regular employees will be recommended for rehabilitation. (Angel Mae Bellita, USJR Intern)
