Addu spikers recover

THE Ateneo de Davao University (Addu) Lady Blue Knights recovered from a first game loss by eking out a 25-12, 25-10 victory over St. Peter's College of Toril in the 2017 Davao Association of Catholic Schools (Dacs) College Sports Festival Volleyball Tournament held at the St. Mary's College of Tagum on Tuesday, September 26.

The Shane Alagao-mentored Lady Blue Knights bowed to Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) Lady Crusaders, 22-25, 11-25, in Monday's opener.

The Lady Blue Knights were playing St. John Paul College of Davao as of this writing Tuesday.

Alagao, in a Facebook chat with SunStar Davao, said they still need big adjustments considering he is coaching the team for the first time.

"We are in the midst of adjustment and some of our players are new in the team. Our spikers are also adjusting because of our new setter. Almost 100 percent of our performance will come from our teamwork," Alagao said, as he hopes for a better game for his team to enter to reach the championship.

Meanwhile, the Addu men's football team beat St. Mary's College of Tagum, 1-0, behind team captain Jonathan Lim's goal in the 75th minute.
