ACTRESS Judy Ann Santos revealed she was surprised with Dreamscape Entertainment's decision to wait for her once she's ready to resume taping for television series "Someone to Watch over Me".

In a Cinema News interview aired over the weekend, the Kapamilya actress said she told Dreamscape, an ABS-CBN television unit which handles the said program, of the condition of her pregnancy.

Santos said the management understands her concerns but she never expected them to move the production and airing of the series just to wait for her.

"Hindi ko in-expect na magiging ganun yung outcome or decision ng Dreamscape. The last time I spoke with them regarding my condition, I was willing, ako pa nga ang nagsabi na yes (you can offer it to other artists) kasi ayoko naman maging greedy doon sa thought na dapat sa akin yan, project ko yan. Hindi naman ako ganun. Ayoko ibitin yung cast, crew and staff," she said.

The actress said she was not able to hold back tears when she learned of Dreamscape's decision.

"Andoon yung grateful ako at may halong pagpapatulo ng luha kasi hindi ko naman talaga in-expect na they would come into a decision na hihintayin nila ako because that's going to be a year from now. Hindi ko naman din alam kung kailan ako makakabalik kasi panigurado naman na magiging balloon ako noon diba. I'm very grateful at sana talaga mahintay nila ako."

Santos' leading man, Cebuano actor Richard Yap, said in a separate interview that he is also willing to wait for the actress once she's ready to resume television work.

Yap added that even though they've already taped the pilot episode of the program, he said the entire production team's concern is Santos and her unborn baby's safety.

"That's understandable kasi buntis nga siya and her role requires her to do action. So naiintindihan namin na hindi talaga niya pwedeng gawin yun. We are happy that she's pregnant because that's something she really wanted. Hindi lang na-timing yung show namin so we just have to wait." (Sunnex)
