Getting the 'ber' feels at SM Home

IT HAS been a tradition among a lot of Filipinos to start decorating their homes for Christmas as soon as the "ber" months start.

For mommies, like me, feeling the Christmas vibe in every corner of the house is an important task, especially if you have little children. In fact, the responsibility of looking for the right decorations is already challenging. It is fun, though, when you shop for Christmas ornaments together with your little one.

Talking about shopping, SM Home offers a wide array of options that can help you transform tour abode into a Christmas haven. Since September, the store has had a display of different elegant, merry and bright stuff for your Christmas-decorating project.

At SM Home, you can find holiday trees, jolly Santas, delightful Christmas villages, dazzling lights, bountiful wreaths and garlands.

Shoppers can choose from the hundreds of various holiday essentials which they feel could make their homes look lovelier and more colorful and feel more lively.

The following are the themes you can opt for when decorating your home for the holidays:

Classic Charm. With SM Home, you can create "a cozy and casual holiday living room with classic reds and greens that never go out of style." You can also make it more refreshing by adding some white decors and some traditional ornaments, such as the Nutcracker toy soldiers, potted poinsettias and Christmas trees, carousel and candy cane ornaments, show globes, and miniature vintage villages.

Contemporary Luxe. SM Home suggests to use metallic shades to make an elegant and polished holiday look. By mixing silver and gold, with a touch of antique brass and champagne, the Christmas scene in your homes becomes warn and luxurious.

Modern Opulence. "Deck your halls with rich royals colors – amethyst, sapphire, tourmaline, and citrine - to create and chic and sophisticated holiday look." SM Home says that in order to make a beautiful and bold statement, you can decorate your homes with glittering Christmas balls, jester mask ornaments, and oversized finial ornaments with ribbons.

Pretty Whimsical. If you opt for the lighthearted and whimsical, you can mix pretty pastels that include baby blue, creamsicle, cotton candy, and chartreuse with sweet dessert ornaments (gingerbread, cupcakes, ice cream, and doughnuts). By doing so, a "playful spin" is achieved.

In Davao City, you can find these holiday pieces at SM Lanang Premier and SM City Davao's SM Home stores.
