67 workers tested negative of drug use

SIXTY officers and seven non-uniformed personnel of Danao City Police Station tested negative of illegal drug use in a surprise drug test yesterday.

Chief Insp. Gerard Ace Pelare, city police commander, said none of his police officers were absent or refused to submit urine samples after the flag-raising ceremony.

The activity was initiated by the Cebu Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Office, which is aiming for drug-free police stations in the province.

Pelare said the public would doubt their credibility in their fight against illegal drugs if one of them was a junkie. (KAL)
