ANDREA Mastellone, senior group general manager of Seda Hotels, said on Tuesday they will urge their parent company under the Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) to hasten the completion of the renovation of the Capitol Lagoon and Park in Bacolod City.
“We will do whatever we can to help and push for the completion of the project because it is beneficial to our customers so they can have a beautiful place nearby,” Mastellone said.
The soon to open Seda Capitol Central is located right across the Lagoon on North Capitol Road.
The renovation of the Capitol Lagoon has a budget of P25 million based on the contract of ALI and the Provincial Government.
Mastellone and hotel manager Rhett Villaruz led their team in a courtesy call to Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. yesterday.
Villaruz said the Seda Capitol Central will have a soft opening between October 15 and 20 with an initial 52 rooms.
They will also open the all-day restaurant named “Misto” which is Italian for "mixed" as well as the open-air swimming pool located on the second floor.
The hotel will have an initial staff of 75 during the opening, all of whom are from Bacolod.
Seda Capitol Central will be ALI’s seventh Seda hotel branch in the Philippines.
Mastellone said the hotel offers four-star accomodations.
Initial room rates are between P5,000 and 7,000 a night, but they will also open other rate categories to cater different business and leisure segments, he added. (TDE)
