Gullas raises reward from P50T to P200T

THE Talisay City Government is now offering a reward of P200,000 for those who can provide information on the whereabouts of murder suspect Jessie Largo.

In a press conference yesterday, Mayor Eduardo Gullas announced that he has increased the reward money from P50,000 to P200,000 to help police get more information on Largo’s location and finally solve the murder of John Ronli Calizar.

The increase in the reward money offered by the Talisay City Government came 42 days after Calizar died.

In a GMA 7 Balitang Bisdak report, Ferliza Contratista, Calizar’s mother, said she no longer trust the police as it took them a long time to arrest Largo.

Mayor Gullas, however, said he trusts the police despite reports that some police officers are allegedly protecting Largo.

He also urged Supt. Jason Villamater, Talisay City police chief, to prioritize Calizar’s case.

Gullas refused to set a time frame for Villamater and his personnel to solve the case, saying he trusts the police official to solve the case as soon as possible.

Almost two months ago, Largo and an unidentified companion shot and killed Calizar inside the boarding house of his girlfriend in Barangay Lawaan 1, Talisay City. (JKV)
