REMEMBER when we thought Compostela Valley province was all gold and mining? Well, after a stopover in Barangay Mabini's Kopiat Island, it turns out they are keeping another treasure that's better than gold!

Onboard a speedboat, the staff took us for a two-minute ride across the light blue beach that speaks how the locals kept it pristine throughout the years. Upon arrival, we were greeted with the clear waters of the island with little and colorful fishes swarming by the footbridge.

Then, we hopped to six-seater club car for a tour around the huge development which started from the receiving area and went through the parts remained untouched by modernization.

I was still hooked with Jumanji and the short tour was giving me that Dr. Smolder Bravestone vibe while Peter Frampton's Baby I Love Your Way spelled in midair.
